Everybody likes to eat pizza. But how many of us can make it? Jamie’s Pizzeria provided an answer to this question by hosting a special pizza making masterclass last Wednesday. This was the team’s second visit to the place. The first visit being enjoyable, we were so looking forward to the next one. On arrival, everybody was given a white apron with ‘Jamie’s Pizzeria’ embroidered on it. The cooking squad of us bloggers was ready. The Chef demonstrated step by step how to make the special Jamie’s ‘Hand stretched Pizza’. Chef Pravesh’s speed and precision awed us. The ingredients which are replaced every day were spread out before us- jalapenos, onions, chicken, cheese, bell peppers and mushrooms. The dry dough was first sprinkled on the table so that the readied pizza base wouldn’t stick on the table.

The team and fellow bloggers followed suit and started spreading out the dough. We faced a hard time perfecting the pizza base. It kept getting torn in the process. A good kneading of about 2 minutes is required to push the air out. Chef came to our rescue and completed the dough spread for us. The next step was spreading the Jamie’s special red sauce on the base of the pizza. We could choose the ingredients we wanted on our pizzas. Cheese being a favorite, we put it in abundance. The other toppings being jalapenos, onions and bell peppers. A simplistic vegetarian pizza in the making; we didn’t hold out much hope on it being good. But it was a bit of a shock when we tasted it. The freshly cooked pizzas arrived and the class sat down together to enjoy the tasty creations.

Elated that our creation tasted good, we took a deep breath and ordered a few drinks and the usual round of chatter followed. A newly acquired skill worth boasting of haha 😛 The team managed to make a decent pizza and finally we conclude that making pizza is also an art.
