Locale situated in Community Centre of Saket is a multi- cuisine café cum bar and also has a well stocked library. This grand establishment is spread across two floors where the first floor also doubles up as the dance floor and the second floor is on the quieter side for peaceful meals. This is also where the library is situated which also houses some vintage items. The décor is modern and the interiors are sure to resonate with the youth with funky graffiti and installations. The view from the terrace is that of the lush greenery which is quite relaxing in itself and also quite unusual in a place like Saket.

FOOD TALKS

Moving on to the food, we had a lot of options to try from. Greek Salad was the first step in our food journey and also a healthy one. With an assortment of colors and a nice dressing, it gave a perfect start to our meal. Next we tried the Mushroom Corn Cigars. They were so flavourful and almost melted in the mouth with the cheese dripping as one takes a bite. Don’t forget to try these out on your next visit.

Next we had the Paneer Tikka Aloo Bukhara which was grilled to perfection and the filling was adding more flavor to the already delicious paneer pieces. Chicken tacos with salsa and sour cream is also worth giving a shot as it had an adequate filling  of chicken pieces in a thick sauce, veggies and a little sour cream added on top.

String Chicken with sweet and sour sauce was the most innovative dish of the day with besan lacchas wrapped on to the chicken almost looking like its tentacles. The crunchiness was also a welcome thing after the mushroom cigars and paneer tikka.

Fish Vepudu is different from your regular fish fry tempered in lots of curry leaves and red chillies. The fish was a bit stiff akin to being tender but this different South Indian styled fish can be given a try.

Coming to the main course, Mutter Mushroom Makai Masala was cooked in rich creamy gravy and was tempting indeed.  Vegetarian Dum Biryani had a very mild level of spices loaded with generous portions of veggies, complimented well by raita and curry served alongside. These went well with the variety of breads served.

Ending our meal with Tiramisu and Molten lava cake with vanilla ice cream, both of which were tasty, we left with our tummies satisfied.

If you are confused where to head with your friends for the weekend, then locale must definitely be on your list.
