Being a Travel, Food & Beverage writer means that I have to attend a plethora of events each and every week. As networking is of essence at all of these events, its always essential to dress properly and fashionably for these events. Let me tell you about the different attires I usually wear for my events. These include some fancy sarees for the Embassy events and palazzo pants for casual Sunday Brunches.

Embassy Events

We usually work with a multitude of Tourism Boards for promoting their countries as tourist destinations. Secondly, as we write for multiple wineries, many of the embassies organise wine events which we attend. As these events are attended by diplomats from the neighbouring embassies too and the dress code is usually either the national dress or a cocktail dress, I usually prefer wearing my fancy sarees to these events. I have a lovely collection of monochrome coloured Silk Sarees that make me look absolutely classy, especially when holding a glass of wine.

Sunday Brunches

I absolutely adore Sunday Brunches as I can wake up late and then head off to drink some Champagne along with trying out some of the lovliest food that the chefs of Delhi can create. Some of the Sunday Brunches that I truly enjoy include the one at K3 at JW Marriott, ITC Maurya and Kiyan at The Roseate. I like staying comfortable during my Sunday Brunches and Palazzos are the perfect attire to relax during my meal.

Cocktail Nights

While working with the alcohol brands, there are quite a few cocktail nights that I attend. As the cocktail nights are quite a party, just like the Café De Nuit I attended recently with Belvedere, I like wearing a Little Black Dress that’s absolutely perfect to rock the night.

Late afternoon Lunches and Wine Dinners

I usually love pairing up a Jacket and Skirt for the late afternoon events that have me looking totally the professional woman. I also try to do the same for my wine paired dinner events.

While out with the camera

There can be nothing more comfortable than a pair of Jeans combined with a white Tee which I wear while heading out on shots. The comfort fit of my tees ensure that I can keep on going for long hours without having a worry in the world.

Tell me about how you dress up in your professional life.
