Delhi is generous. Delhi is loving. Not just for the people but also for the food. Being a melting pot for various cuisines, there is hardly any cuisine left which cannot be found here. And for those who crave Mexican but with an Indian twist can head to Taco Bell and its various outlets in the city. The menu features a lot of Mexican regulars such as nachos, burritos, tacos etc but it’s the taste that’s different and moving a bit ahead of the QSR format, it is now serving alcohol with customizing options for the food. Taco Bell in Epicuria Nehru Place can be your new go to place for a quick Mexican fix and the cozy interiors ensure that the place is a little relaxing space for everybody. The warmth and polite smiles of the staff will make you forget all your worries. The Hindi graffiti on the walls is charming.
Alcohol lovers will rejoice the introduction of the new alcohol based drinks. The Lime and Mint Twisted Freeze and the Watermelon Twisted Freeze consist of fruit slush with your choice of poison. Choose between tequila, rum and vodka for your favourite combination. My favourite combination turned out to be Lime and Mint Twisted Freeze with tequila. It was so refreshing and the punch of the tequila was just about right. The Watermelon Twisted Freeze went well with vodka. Hard Shake with Jack Daniels and honey was such a sweet treat and probably a first such combination. There’s always a first time for everything and the drink was absolutely lovable.
The Assorted Platter comprising of cheesy nachos, crispy chicken and fajita chicken quesadillas was jam packed with flavours. The quesadillas were loaded with cheese and grilled to perfection. This is also a great option when one can’t decide what to have. The vegetarian platter comes for INR 305 and the non- vegetarian will cost you INR 375. The pricing is quite decent. The Loaded Nachos were top notch and the chicken along with the cheese and sour cream impart great flavor to the nachos. Guacamole and Salsa were the other dips. Dips are the silent heroes without which any dish can’t be complete.
Then we had the Crunchy taco Mexican chicken with cool ranch sauce and Soft taco crispy chicken with smokey chipotle sauce. The filling inside was generous and the juicy chicken against the hard taco shell made the crunchy taco dish a little better. The customization lets you make your own taco and experiment. Taco Bell has perfect taco recipes and is a great example of Tex-Mex cuisine.
Naked burrito with fries is also a latest edition where the burrito misses the tortilla. It has beans, fajita veggies and fajita chicken served on a bed of rice which makes it a filling option. Multiple flavours in one dish.
Always having room for desserts, we went on to have Chocodilla, warm soft tortilla loaded with melted Belgian chocolate, served hot. A signature Taco Bell dessert. This means you won’t find it anywhere else. Chocolate caramel tostadas and vanilla ice cream. This got us drooling the moment we saw it. This is their most classic yet quirky dish. We recommend you not to miss it.
So are you ready to get tacoed and get your brains twisted?
