The Kukul Mas or simply a chicken red curry is prepared with a Sri Lankan red curry powder and various ground spices including black pepper and chilli powder. Not only is the curry made with a paste of these spices and topped with coconut milk but the chicken is also marinated with them to bring out the true flavour. This dish is common to every household in Sri Lanka and is always eaten with plain white rice.

Our meal ended on a sweet note with their signature dessert Kalu Dodol. Kalu dodol is a sweet dish, a type of dodol that is popular in Sri Lanka. The dark and sticky dish consists mainly of kithul jaggery, rice flour and coconut milk. Chef Niranjana informed me that is a very difficult and time-consuming dish to prepare.

It is surely an event never seen before in Gurgaon and that too at an authentic level. The meal makes for a perfect dinner for those who are always looking for something new to please their palate.
