Punjab Grill from the house of Lite Bite Foods has come up with an authentic festival ‘RANGLA PUNJAB’ which is on till 24th February. Offering you a special menu featuring never heard dishes before from the pinds of Punjab, Rangla Punjab changes your perception towards Punjabi food. The servers dressed in a Punjabi attire complemented the dishes exquisitely prepared by Executive Chef Gurpreet Singh Gehdu.

KOTKAPURA DA ATTA CHICKEN
Outset your meal with an authentic drink of Punjab KAALI GAJAR DI KAANJI prepared with beetroot, mustard seeds and some of their special ingredients giving it a heart stealing pink colour and a chatpata taste. MACHHI KE PAKODE was presented as a starter, the fish was very soft and juicy along with a crispy coating on the outside and was served with homemade chips. Coming to their main course there was a very unique and irresistible dish KOTKAPURA DA ATTA CHICKEN a whole chicken filled with almonds, packed inside with a marinade of cream or yogurt, tandoori masala, salt and a red bean stew, wrapped in an atta dough and roasted in a slow-fire tandoor. Next one was their KUNNA MEAT which came in an earthen pot along with mustard oil with onions, chillies and garlic making it an unforgettable dish.

The dishes I enjoyed the most and are highly recommended were KHOYA PANEER having a white gravy and a very delicious sweet flavour in it and their PIND DA SAAG which deserved the tag of “best dish of the day” having so much of desi flavours in it that it made me realise that saag can be finger licking good accompanied with GOBHI SHALGUM DA ACHAAR and MEAT DA ACHAR which were the most flavourful achars I have ever had. HARE CHHOLIYA DE PULAO was mind blowing and was complementing MA CHOLE DI DAL, an innovative version of dal which we eat at home. The desserts served to us were GHUR WALE CHAWAL having a brownish colour and were up to the mark along with MAKHANE DI KHEER served in a kullar which I enjoyed a lot and was tasty enough to savour my taste buds with a sweet flavour.
