West Delhi has a penchant for having the best Punjabi food in town. But the other side of the story means that it has been very difficult for other cuisines to survive in this part of Delhi. But Indyaki at Radisson Blu Paschim Vihar has been trying to change the trend for quite some time now. The last time I was there, I had tried out Izzat Hussain’s food from Lucknow. But this time, it was a menu which has been literally created on the Teppan grill. The famous grill from Japan offers a new style of cooking and the menu has an amalgamation of both Indian and Japanese dishes. We take you through few of the wonders you should definitely try out.

What we started off with?

Start off with the Udon Noodle soup. These flat rice noodles offer you a distinctive texture on which the tofu and vegetables offer the subtle flavours. Flavoured with Star Anise and Cinnamon, the aroma of the sweet spices is something that will make you come back for more. There are some chicken pieces marinated with Teriyaki sauce before being finished on the grill. The spicy Mutton Chili fry offers a sense of relief for Indian palates. The oriental style Indian dish acts as a perfect starter with its crispy texture and spicy flavour.

Chef’s Teppan table at Indyaki

The Chef’s table offers you a unique experience as the Chef cooks right in front of you. Now Teppanyaki is a style that is associated with quite of bit of show boarding and the juggling skills of a chef is what draws in people towards the Teppan grill. There is also a lot of fire and a deluge of aromas which betters your experience even more. We tried out the Norwegian Salmon and Beansprouts in a Yuanyaki sauce, Shittake and Button mushrooms tossed with a lemon butter sauce and some Garlic fried rice. The trio created an explosion of flavours on the palate. The essential part of this trio being the beautiful balance of sweet, salt and sour.

So next time you’re handing around Paschim Vihar, do try out this new menu at Indyaki.
