The walk upto the lobby area of Fairmont Jaipur leads up to the beautiful tea lounge Anjum. The place has a tasteful interiors that are warm and welcoming. With its round counter that has provision for tea, coffee, pastries and chocolates. Anjum also offers an awesome view of a water body. Even the coffees also provide an equivalent joyful experience because they have been infused with extra freshness. We strongly recommend their Cafe Latte and the high octane “Meter Coffee”. At first look Anjum gives an impression of a bar. The brewing area is surrounded by bar stool type seating option. The rest of the area is occupied by plush seats and sofas in beige and brown and elegant cushions provided for extra comfort.
Some decadent Darjeeling and Assam teas are on offer along with some delightfully created mini bites. There is a thick creamy chicken as well as corn and spinach quiches. But what really takes the day are the perfectly presented three tier chrome plated platter which showcases a variety of snacks, savories and sweets from across the country. The tier consist of palatable snacks such as khandvi , dhokla and chatbhati bhelpuri. The Second tier has some finger licking savories such as paneer pakoda, achari mathi , samosa , stuffed bhakarwadi and Kachori. The teas, savouries, and sweets beautifully compliment each other and the entire experience is extremely pleasant.
In a nutshell One should visit Anjum and experience the “Indian High Tea”. The bite sized snacks compliments the hot beverages pretty well. Tea-time will become all the more meaningful and relatable, when you enjoy your infusions and brews brimful with the essence of Jaipur.
