Every now and then awesomeness keeps popping up in Rajouri Garden. This time it has exploded as the one of the coolest places in town called The Drunk House. Located in Vishal Enclave, the place is dimly lit and is a perfect hangout destination. It offers multiple cuisines ranging from Italian, Continental, North Indian, Chinese, Lebanese, Mexican, etc.

Team Salt and Sandals went for a lunch to review what the place has to offer. We started with several appetisers like – Non Veg. Mezze Platter which had succulent yet perfectly seasoned chicken and yummy mediterranean dips. Chicken cooked in oyster sauce was crispy and the oyster sauce complimented the chicken because of it’s sweet and salty flavours. Mediterranean sandwich was served on the wooden cart with a side of fries. It had the middle eastern coleslaw mixed with the infamous mediterranean dips and sauces and was grilled to perfection. Jalapeño Poppers were nothing but heavenly cheese balls with a classic jalapeño kick. Tandoori Soya Chaap had the right flavour of the char and was perfectly cooked.

For Main Course we had a Vegetable Pizza which could have used a little more zing in the seasoning but it had a gorgeous crispy thin crust. Penne Pasta cooked in Alfredo Sauce was creamy and cheesy, just how it should be. The Pastas were served in a Guitar shaped bowl which we thought was very interesting. We also tried a couple of North Indian dishes like Dal Makhni and Shahi Paneer which were extremely delicious. The Highlight of North Indian cuisine although was the Chicken Biryani which had juicy chicken pieces and perfectly cooked long basmati rice.

For drinks we had – Strawberry Margarita which was very refreshing yet had a good tequila hit. Teekhi Beer was a version of masala soda but with beer instead which was very amusing. LIIT was strong enough to make anyone tipsy. The drink that stole our hearts was Death by Chocolate which was an alcoholic drink as it had rum in it. This drink takes you to a trip down the memory lane when you used to binge on liquor chocolates. Truly, Rum and Chocolate are a match made in heaven and whipped cream just takes this drink to a different level.

For desserts we got our hands on their popular Chocolate Pizza which was very yummy since it had all the amazing toppings like gems, brownie bits, etc. but it could have used a little more sauce. Their dessert, Candy Putin, is what our dessert dreams are made of. It had chocolate — Kit Kat which was fried and some toasted marshmallows. It was an absolute stunner and is a must try from our side.
