Navratri, a 9-day celebration of the various forms of Goddess Shakti involves one of the most auspicious rituals of the Hindu dharma – fasting. Followed by the fast comes a rich and piquant meal that families indulge in heartily. While there’s nothing like home-made food, if you’re looking for the perfect Navratri Thali experience around the NCR, here’s what our foodies consider the top 6 places for these 9 celebrated days, which you can enjoy at even if you’re not fasting:
1. Rajdhani Thali Restaurant
Location: multiple outlets across the NCR
Major Attraction: authentic Gujarati and Rajasthani preparations such as Gujarati kadhi, a variety of daals and sabzis to go with kuttu puris, and a satiating sabu dana ki kheer to seal the deal.

2. Panchvati Gaurav
Location: Cyber Hub, Gurgaon
Major Attraction: a rich culinary experience that takes you back to your heritage with every bite. Thalis here are enormous and come with a scrumptious spread, and the Rajasthani and Gujarati thali is a big hit.

3. Veg Gulati
Location: Pandara Road
Major Attraction: the taste of pure desi ghee, found in all its purely vegetarian food! In short – when visiting, don’t count the calories because such a rich meal is worth it every once in a while.

4. Sagar Ratna
Location: multiple outlets across the NCR
Major Attraction: home away from home – the simple, typical navratri thali comprising of kuttu puris, sabu dana papad, samwat pulao and kheer, this is comfort food. Don’t miss a delish glass of buttermilk!

5. Bikanervala
Location: multiple outlets across the NCR
Major Attraction: the Falhari menu, famous for its namkeens, singhara atta papri chaat and other unique twists to the navratri ingredients such as almond cutlets and aloo bonda. As our foodie Aparna says, “they have the yummmm factor galore”!

6. Shiv Mishthan Bhandar
Location: Chandni chowk
Major Attraction: desserts! But their bedhmi puri is to die for as well. Basically, this is a desi sweet tooth’s heaven.
