Veranda at Park Plaza, Faridabad is a place where you would find simplest of things prepared in a sophisticated way. Team Salt and Sandals attended Lunch and after tasting the delectable menu, we were amazed by the way the spices were fused with each other. The North Indian food held forte through the menu. The ongoing Mango festival presents quite a few new flavours in the drinks and desserts section. The 96 seater restaurant has a modern aesthetic feel to it. The buffet covers a range of North Indian, Continental and Chinese food. With sofa style seating and the sun streaming in through the windows, the space outside doubles up as a coffee shop too.
Executive Sous Chef Suhel Khan rustles up a few delicacies from his A-La Carte menu. The typically North Indian starters impressed a lot with the Kasturi Methi Murgh holding fort with the typical spicy flavours of Punjab along with the Hara Bhaara Kebab with a cheesy filling in the centre. The Crispy Veggies takes another form with small dumplings being made and then put into the fiery Sichuan sauce. In the mains, Paneer Lababdar and Dal Makhni were full of flavours. But it was the Murgh Tikka Makhni that blew us away with beautiful tastes that played on our palate. We polished it with some Mutter Pulao and some Lachcha Paranthas.
The Mango Festival is definitely something to look forward to with mocktails like a Mango Mary and Mango Lassi bringing out the sweet taste of mango in different forms. The desserts too leave a distinct mark upon our palate. The Mango Chenar Payesh and the Mango Ghevar round up a truly tasty Indian meal. The Buffet for Lunch is available at Veranda for an economical INR 599 and Dinner for INR 999.
