Sometimes the experience counts more than mere “food” and this is what I experienced in Radisson blu. The whole team was really courteous and friendly. The chef, Mr. Rohan was very welcoming and curious about the diner’s experiences and feedback.

The buffet had too many dishes that it was impossible to taste it all even if one is taking a single spoon of all kinds of variety. I used to think that it is an expensive treat but not really, the prices more-than-justify the experience. The variety of options was seriously overwhelming. More than available in any wedding :p

I had plain pineapple juice which was simply an ultimate thirst quencher. No sugar added, it tasted appropriately sweet and was served chilled. A much needed delight. If you are a chocolate lover, don’t miss out on chocolate climax in the mocktails. Not over sweet and was really creamy and frothy. However, it can be served chilled.

Starters:
I had cakes made with chana, a dish which would obviously be dry but the spices made it worth having. Crispy chilli vegetables were blameless and I would specially mention that broccoli was also very crispy which is rare. One can choose from salads being served or can make their own salad from the salad station.

Main course:
Indian: Dal makhni was remarkable. Best part was that it did not leave a bitter aftertaste of too-much-garlic. I purposely had bharwa tinda (which I never eat at home) and honestly, you might as well start loving tinda after having it here. The filling was really generous and the otherwise bland taste of the gourd was made toothsome by it. I appreciate the quality of paneer and its gravy which was more on creamier side and less on spices. I did not taste the rice, but they looked really colorful and nicely cooked.

Mezze platter: Thumbs up for the hummus- one of the best hummus I ever had. It seemed that all the ingredients were hidden inside the creamy hummus and exploded in the mouth filling it with all the pleasure. The variety of breads left me confused as to which one I should pick. Accompanying the lovely hummus was tzatziki which was so fresh that one could make out the ingredients without having to know anything about it. I partnered it with Muhammara dip which was grainy and full of texture.

Pasta and noodles were just about average. They will not disappoint their fans for sure. Thai curry which was succulent with herbs would be a good match with the noodles.

Bhaji at AvatarSpecial mention: Pav-bhaji was genuinely an authentic one. The pav gleamed with butter and were appropriately cooked (which you can’t find is many good restaurants as well). It wasn’t that red in color but mildly spiced and earnestly smooth yet not waxy.

Desserts: The number of desserts could put any diabetic patient to go into depression. But they had low fat and sugar free desserts as well! The Indian sweets were one step ahead from “splendid”. They are made in house and one could feel the creaminess and brilliance of the same. The aroma of Indian sweets did attract. Coconut ball tasted more of coconut and less of chocolate, so coconut lovers will love this one. Sorbet was freshly made at the counter.

The only thing I felt was that there was a little less privacy, but I got to know that seating is going to be changed soon. I could not taste everything in one visit. They left nothing to serve. Even the number of condiments and side dishes can put anyone in dilemma. I am going to visit again for sure, for re-living the experience I had.For a person like me who likes more of creamy stuff than spicy, this place was like a temple for the soul’s peace seeker!!!
