Its restaurants like Kitchens of Asia because of which people have started perceiving Pan Asian cuisines in different way and the love for oriental cuisine has grown in recent times across the city. The restaurant which is located in the heart of DLF Cyberhub is a brainchild of Mr Amit Arora who did an extensive research to come with this Asian diner.
We were recently invited to Kitchens of Asia to try out some of the new introductions in their menu, which has gone through a revamp. Starting off with a refreshing cocktail, THE ROYAL DYNASTY, a concoction of Vodka, passion fruit juice and a dash of rose water. We also tried the classical CAPRIOSHKA, an icy and tangy blend of vodka, lemon and orange chunks with mint and sugar syrup.
Sushi is an ideal start to a great oriental lunch and we were served a platter of PHILADELPHIA rolls, consisting of salmon, cream cheese and tobiko. The vegetarian sushi in the platter was TRIO SEASONS ROLL , asparagus, cream cheese, cucumber and carrots topped with ginger sauce which was an exciting combination. . The restaurant has live teppenyaki and robatayaki counters, and we tried the chef special CHICKEN TERIYAKI served with sticky rice from this section. In the mains we relished the classic and flavourful GREEN THAI CURRY served with Thai fried rice. One must not miss new addition to the dessert listings, THE CHOCOLATE SUSHI, a layer of chocolate cake rolled with an icy filling with strawberry compote which leaves a tangy touch with the sweet taste. This dessert is quite innovative and executed well.
With an elegant and a classy decor, Kitchens of Asia is usually flocked not only by the corporates who are looking for a hearty asian lunch, but also an elite clientale who love the cuisine. It certainly comes as a place highly recommended.
