Well, Monkey Bar has been a favourite of ours since the time it has opened. Offering a menu full of amazing cocktails and food. So when the Monkey Bar came up with a new menu of “small plates via the tandoor” that serves the best of Indian grills from all over the world.
There are some of the fluffy Kulchas that we try quite often on the streets of Delhi. Only this time they are combined with some Malabari Mutton and Butter Chicken along with Onion and Cheese. There is also some more regional fare including the Thelawala Mutton Seekh, Bandel Malai Fish Kebab, along with a Pepper Chicken that we quite enjoyed.
The menu also features Dilli Samosa Chaat along with Kerala style Mutta Puff and a Ghee Roast Pao that tastes absolutely amazing. But my favourite amongst the menu remains the delectable burgers of Monkey Bar. There are quite a few interesting ones including the Monkey Fried Chicken, the Thai style Chicken Burger, the Chilli Pork Burger along with the vegetarian Barnyard Burger and the Double Trouble Burger which features a double Buff patty.
The mains feature regional fare from all over the country including an Aunt Vinny’s Berry Pulao, Chandraji’s Mutton Curry, a Butter Chicken Khichdi and a Kerala style Chemmeen Fried Rice. There are also quite a few interesting cocktails with flavours of India such as Rasam Mary with a Tomato pepper Rasam, the Tomesh Collins with Murabba, the Pied Piper with a jeera infused whisky and finally Peena Colada with Rabri and Badaam.
