I have been fortunate enough to have had the chance of eating at some amazing restaurants lately, KOA – Kitchens of Asia, being the most recent one.
My previous encounters with authentic Pan-Asian food were at Guppi by ai, a brainchild of Olive group, Yum Yum Cha by Varun Tuli , B-Bar Saket, and other popular establishments like Mamagoto and Dao.
KOA – Kitchens Of Asia is located in the heart of DLF Cyber Hub, Gurgaon, and offers the best Japanese Cuisine. Mr Amit Arora and his team, after doing extensive research and trails, present this magnificent culinary journey.
I was at Cyber Hub for a foodie meet and the venue was Kitchens of Asia. The interiors are vibrant yet very classy. They have an open kitchen with separate Teppanyaki and Robotayaki counters as well.
Food Talks
The journey started with Prawn Tempura with soy dip. The crunchy and flavourful Tempura Prawns are delicious and fascinating. The Corn on Cob is delightful as well. It was followed by Veg Sushi. The sushi served here is the best I’ve ever had. Shira-Ae, the national dish of Japan, is full of taste and is quite photogenic as well. King Prawns with Wasabi is a real enthralling dish as the wasabi is really mild in flavour.
Grilled Chicken with Black Beans and Poyeto Suteki were the main highlights of the day for us. Both these dishes are highly recommended, specially Poyeto Suteki which had sweet potatoes with Tonkatsu sauce.
For mains, we had Chicken Teriyaki and Black Cod Miso, a silky and flavourful dish which gave us a reason to visit KOA again very soon. The veg folks were quite satisfied with the Oriental Veg Curry and Crispy Tofu served with Steamed Sticky Rice, Udon Noodles, and Yaki Soba Noodles.
Salmon Cheese Cake is a star dish here. It can be seen on many tables whenever you visit and to its beautiful presentation you cant ignore it at all. It tastes full of flavors with elegance of fish meat with juices running through it.
Sushi platter is ideal if anyone wants to try different sushi’s. The colorful presentation and the quality of ingredients in every sushi makes it a hard to miss affair. But they vary in taste so it can be hard for anyone to like everything on the platter.
For desserts, we had Blueberry Cheesecake and Red Velvet Cake. The Blueberry Cheesecake is a winner for us and it is among the best Blueberry cheesecakes I’ve tried in Delhi. The Red Velvet didn’t impress us that much.
KOA – Kitchens of Asia is a place that can change your opinion about Japanese food completely. Japanese food is healthy and it can be very tasty as well. This place is highly recommended.
