Connaught Place is a famous hub for many high end cafes. AKSHAY ANAND has come with a new venture HOT MESS located at M-11 in the middle circle just a few steps from Cafe Dalal Street. The USP of this place is its aphrodisiac theme which is a very new and one of its own kinds of concept in Delhi which means serving food or drinks which stimulates sexual desire.

As soon as you enter this place you will fall in love with its eccentric ambience which is perfectly done. The lights, the walls, the ceilings are eye catchy and the place is spacious enough to accommodate 80-85 people. Starting with the drinks I tried RANG DE BASANTI which was a mix n match of pineapple, passion fruit and herbs like rosemary, nice one to start your meal with. Then I ordered MESS GLORY a cocktail made up of bourbon, orange liqueur, fresh pineapple and cinnamon which is highly recommended. The next one and the best of all was IMLI PATOLA which was Bacardi based with triple sec, homemade tamarind syrup and gomme syrup.

After trying their amazing and refreshing drinks I laid my hands on TANDOORI CHICKEN GYOZA momos , the chicken inside the momos is first skewered then cooked inside a tandoor, chopped and put inside a bao– a Chinese bread and served with a spicy chutney, the most delicious momos I have ever tried. Then came the MUTTON SEEKH and SOYA CHAP both of them were beautifully presented with green chutney and aam panna mayo. After that I tried NACHO PENCHO circular shaped nachos topped with veggies, beans and cheese. The most liked and the innovative dish of the day was SAMOSADILLA, Mexican samosa filled with potatoes and bell peppers. Indian dish prepared in a Mexican style and to add flavours to it aam panna chutney was served.

Along with the food and the drinks DJ played really good songs, the loud and energetic beats would make you dance. Hot Mess is a place to chill out with your friends and is a new star in the list of cafes have surely got a long way to go.
