The Green Burger revolution is here. After being awed by the Red, Black and the White Burger, the green burger makes it’s appearance to awe the burger loving junta of Delhi NCR. With the nutritionists and doctors the world over prescribing a decreased intake of junk food like our favourite burgers, the Green Burger comes as a cheat around our unhealthy lifestyle.
What’s the fuss all about the Green Burger?
Carl’s Jr may just revolutionize the Burger industry in India with their healthy and gluten free burger but we need to hold our horses before jumping on the bandwagon. The Green Burger essentially replaces the bun on the Burger with leaves of lettuce thus radically changing the dynamic of the Burger. The carbohydrates of the bun are supposedly the unhealthy part of the burger unlike the cheese, meat and vegetables that ride along with it. But as Ms. Sana Chopra, Executive Director, Carl’s Jr. says, “These ‘Green Burgers’ are an attempt to continue the same path that will allow our burger lovers to enjoy our products without worrying about adding on some extra calories.”
Although the Burger has become more healthy, Do we have a Burger that matches in taste? Yes, we surely do. We try out their regular favourites, the Mango Jalapeno Pepper Chicken and the Famous Star Burger. Although the crunch of lettuce is something that we are accustomed to along with the exquisite soft texture of the bread, but this is something that does not really raise alarm bells. The Carl’s Jr’s burgers retain their beautiful flavours with the explosion of juices from the patty and a perfect amalgamation of sauces. The only point that seems to be working against this revolution is the mess it might create while eating. But then, burger eaters were never the fussy ones.
So, the next time you have a burger craving, check into Carl’s Jr.
