Located bang opposite Janpath metro station and next to the twin vegetarian restaurants Shiv Sagar and Sarvana Bhavan lies Zamozza. The entrance is a huge door which takes into the world of a narrow mirrored corridor embedded by numerous bright bulbs. Several paintings on the wall represents the various types of cuisine served in the restaurant which varies from Lebanese, Continental to middle-eastern and oriental you name it and they serve you sir.

The Journey started with few of their signature cocktails that was recommended to us. The Spider Bite is chili vodka with their inhouse mix. Stir it well with the twizle stick and enjoy the drink. It looks innocuous enough, but that vodka’s been steeping with the chili to give that spicy punch. The next to follow was the Garden frost which is a mocktail comprising of fresh cucumber, lemon leaves and sweat and sour flavor with lemonade. Whether planning a shower, a brunch or if you just need a non-alcoholic option for your next gathering, these virgin drinks are as pretty as they are delicious. The star of the day for me was the Apple Basil Martini with fresh green apple basil and lime.

For Appetizers we started with Open litchee wonton which gave a great start to this culinary journey.Crispy wontons which were fried to perfection served a layer of litchi, spring onion, In house sauce, sprouts making it an ideal starter.
The Mezze platter was a real surprise as I was not expecting them to serve an authentic lebanese platter to us but I am glad they proved me wrong.Served with Lamb kibbeh, chicken kofta, pita bread , hummus and baba ganoush it kept us asking for more.

The Chicken Quesadilla which is another hot selling item at zamozza and an integral part of this world cuisine affair. It has a great spicy aftertaste to it served with guacamole, salsa dip , sour cream and an onion and tomato salad. it gets a double thumps up from me.

Turkish lamb kibbeh is a perfectly minced lamp inside which is a filling of pinenuts and has an earthy flavor because of it’s slow cooking method.

Sweet chilli prawns. Hands down when it comes to this dish it was the main highlight of the day for me.Fresh and juicy tiger prawns fried to perfection making it a dish where you can’t find a single flaw.

For Mains we tried the lamb chops, Red Thai curry, snappe pollo chicken and seabass pil pil. The Lamb chops were really juicy and for me it is a party in the mouth kind of dish. The red Thai curry had all flavors of Thailand in a bowl of piping hot curry , best enjoyed with sticky rice.
Snappe pollo chicken is chicken breast marinated with balsamic and mustard.Seabass pil pil is pan roasted seabass with avocado and citrus oil.

The Journey ended on the same sweet as it started with their Molten chocolate and crispy waffle. The molten chocolate is a dark chocolate cake served hot with melting hot chocolate inside. It can satisfy your craving for good chocolate dessert. The crispy waffle was another star, Though I only like waffle as a breakfast but trying it as a dessert after a filling meal was equally satisfying experience. Served with hot chocolate, maple, honey and strawberry sauce this is the pride of zamozza.

In a nutshell 4.5/5 Zamozza, keeps the focus on promoting world cuisine by providing excellent food and service to it’s patrons, , and is therefore well placed to bring to consumers to experience the best of both worlds – a stylish interface (decor) with awesome content (food) to match.
