Lagom a Swedish word which defines enough food or drink for everyone at the table – a name perfectly describing this place is a kitchen + brewery located at the ground floor of JMD Megapolis Mall, Sohna Road Gurgaon. It can be located easily from the main road with ample parking space.

The place is separated into three sections:
First one is the outside area comprising of long, comfortable, and very beautiful chairs. Sitting in this area along with the intake of fresh air, one can enjoy drinks to the fullest. The second one is the bar cum dining area, not only it is a place to dine but has a bar too. Coming to the third section which  is entirely to be enjoyed by the smokers. Though small and in corner, doesn’t separate the smokers. Rather it gives them the joy to enjoy their cigar to the fullest and they can even read cookery books.

Well, despite the fact that all three sections are amazing, but to me the dining area attracted the most. Its ambience was the best mainly because of the colour scheme and the classic furniture. The light shade of bulbs and the music of the 80’s was a cherry on top.

What makes the place special is its uniqueness of the way the beer is served. As it’s a brewery, fresh beer is served and the processing is natural. They are offered in big iced mugs which lets the beer set chill. The ingredients are imported from different countries, devouring a time of 21 days with an accurate alcohol content of 4%.

The variety of  fresh beers I tasted were SIMPLY WHEAT, FANTASTIC LAGER and THE DARK NIGHT. I personally liked the wheat one best, which was a unique combination of fresh oranges, high notes of coriander and German wheat giving it a right amount of citrus flavour, highly recommended.
Their bartender, LOVE is a talented guy serves different cocktails like Vartile which is a whiskey based cocktail mixed with mojito syrup, sprite and mix juice. They have an extensive variety of mouth-watering Mocktails, the one I tried was a mixture of mango, pineapple, orange and lime juice with grenadine and banana crush- this one steals the show.
Coming to the food, NORTH INDIAN and CONTINENTAL are the two cuisines offered by this classy place. Starting with the appetizers the first thing I ate was their CURRY LEAF FISH having a sweet flavour with a slight taste of coconut in it and the right amount of crisp for a fish like this. Moving forward to the SMOKED CHICKEN which was presented with sesame and small cut red chillies just giving it an accurate spicy flavour which was lip smacking. Then I kept my hand on CHILLI GARLIC CHICKEN, this one was less spicy as compared to the smoked chicken but the garlic flavour and the juicy crisp gave it an upper hand. If you want to enjoy a combination of spicy green chutney mixed with paneer then go for HARE MIRCH PANEER TIKKA. Coming to the highly recommended starters which I enjoyed the most were CHICKEN AND CHIVES DIM SUMS and CHICKEN TIKKA PIZZA. Dim sums were filled with juicy and soft chicken; yummy is the word for it and this masterpiece was served with the red spicy chutney making it a perfect suit. Talking about their CHICKEN TIKKA PIZZA, a thin crust base with the topping of chicken tikka and green chillies was felicitating as the delicious flavour of chicken was in each and every bite of it.
Enjoying the savouries, we reached the mains VEGETABLE LASAGNE was scrumptious, a cheesy cheese affair filled with veggies like broccoli, peas, carrot, corns and much more. Then we came across the king of north Indian cuisine DAL MAKHANI which had rich flavours with the desired taste of cream and butter. VEG BIRYANI served with the white gravy steaming with vegetables like beans, mushrooms, peas and cauliflower with abundance of spices made it a must try dish. In desserts I loved the tiramisu which had a luscious creamy taste and the chocolate vodka Gulab Jamun was outstanding and the best climax.
Craving for a beer and want to treat your taste buds with unique and yummy flavours then this one is the best in town.
