Fun Fact: An average Czech consumes about 140 litres of beer in a year while Germany is next to it at somewhere around 100-120 litres.
But the most surprising fact is that India has never been able to taste one of these master brews. So Roneli along with Bohemian Beer Pvt. Ltd. is bringing the first Czech Beer to India, Bohemian King.
The Beer was launched at Czech Embassy where Milan Hovorka, Ambassador of the Czech Republic in India, said: “The Embassy of the Czech Republic is honoured and pleased to be part of this historic moment. I am grateful to all who have been working hard to transform a long term dream of having a truly Czech beer and thus a part of our culture in India in to reality. I wish many Indians had the opportunity to taste this nice beer.”
Following a recipe secured directly from the Brevnov Monastery in Prague – the oldest brewery in the Czech Republic (established in 993) and located in the heart of Bohemia – Bohemian KING contains more than 1,000 years of Czech brewing experience and tradition. The Bohemian King is a pilsner which is being launched in 650ml bottles and 500ml cans. The bottle is going to be costing INR 160 in Delhi.
Tasting Notes
The Bohemian King Strong has a steady barm which is a taken over by a typical bitter taste. A strong heady smell of hops. On swirling on the palate, it gives off a few fruity notes which stay on the palate for a short time. A perfect brew for the Indian crowd which loves beers which leave them a little tipsy.
So this summer, chill with a glass of the Bohemian King
