What art is to eyes, food is to mouth. Thus, we can say that art and food together are a perfect match made in heaven. A perfect match executed beautifully by Radisson Blu, Dwarka’s all day dining restaurant – Spring. The restaurant has been revamped with all the colourful paintings from the Kamboj Art Gallery.
The event was hosted to mark the new resurrected look. The invite said that it is an Art Walk and Food Talk, which it indeed was. The event was attended by socialites, politicians and noted artists. Team Salt and Sandals was fortunate enough to attend the celebration of this holy reunion of art and food. We couldn’t agree more with Peter de Vries when he said “ Murals in restaurant are on a par with the food in museums”.
Ms. Sandy Kamboj, the owner of The Kamboj Art Gallery was kind enough to give us a tour of the restaurant giving us an artsy perception and elaborating upon the concept of the relationship between food and art. Not only the vibe of the restaurant gave a new vivacious twist, the staff also looked pretty enthusiastic about the new look as it was evident from the energetic flash mob. The food complimented the whole vibe and was utterly delicious.
The buffet was quite a spread. The menu was kept simple yet delectable. From Paneer Kalimirchi to Palli Palan Kozhi Curry and Aloo Shimla Mirch. There was a different section for condiments all together which had a variety of pickles and chutneys. The dessert bar was not only a vision to behold but it was a treat to the palate as well. The dessert menu included Chocolate Fudge, Moong Dal Halwa, Mousses, Souffles, Pastries, Cakes, etc.
On the whole, everyone was feeling the new spring vibes. The paintings have definitely added a new oomph factor to the restaurant. Team Salt and Sandals recommends you to pay a visit to witness the fine blend of art and food.
