The 90s kids of India were probably the most lucky ones. The last generation whose early years were not spent under the tutelage of technology. A healthy mix of outdoors and indoors meant we were the best of both the worlds. School was a fun place for us too. They weren’t high tech and offered us ample opportunities to learn extracurricular activities. Summer holiday home work was an affair for the whole family instead of downloading something off the internet.

Back to SchoolThe Leela Ambience Convention Hotel takes us back to those school days of ours with a Back to School promotion at Café Knosh till 21st August. As part of their regular buffet menu, the promotion has totally changed the whole look for the all-day dining café. With servers dressed up as Head Girl and Head Boy, the restaurant brings to life memories from the school days. The blackboards, the biology models, the Chelpark Ink and the bottles of Camel glue add a mystical element to the experience.

Back to SchoolThe specific menu for the festival changes on a cyclical basis along with the rest of the buffet. Today, the specials included Keema Pav, Pav Bhaji, Samosa and Bread Pakora. Served up in cute little tiffin boxes along with Lemonade and Orange Tang in Water Bottles, the experience will elicit a smile from the corner of your lips. Even though the menu looks simple, but getting the tastes spot on is something that the chefs at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel under the aegis of Executive Chef Rohit Tokhi do perfectly. The Keema Pav with it’s crispy Pav and the perfect balance of flavours with the Keema makes for a delectable snack. The Bread Pakora is a perennial favourite of Delhi school kids. The Samosa is a bit different here as it is a Pea Samosa which you might not regularly in a lot of places.

Do try out the Churan vaala Bhaiyaa to pick up an assortment of knick knacks on your way out. The buffet is priced at INR 1299++ for Lunch and INR 1599++ for dinner.
