we all have a tendency to associate the term ‘fast food’ with Ronald McDonald we are reluctant to use it to describe anything that is not served by a branded chain of restaurant. But any food that’s inexpensive, quickly prepared and served by a restaurant that does not care too much for a waiter service should fit the bill for me.
If you use that definition, then the best fast food for me in the world is not the rubbish that the American chains like Mcdonalds churn out. The best fast for me is the authentic Italian food that their another American counterpart brand like Sbarro is offering with sheer dedication to it’s patrons. After serving 30 countries during past 5 decades Sbarro re launched In a new avatar to claim a position in our domestic market.

I remember as I was growing up the only thing that resembled pasta to me was Macaroni. But then I developed this sudden liking towards penne arabiata. Arabiata needs tomatoes and crushed chilli and not a great amount of cheese and cream that lot of restaurants serve us. I am glad that Sbarro is not following the same tradition hats off to the chef.
Paneer Makhani Pizza is another great dish coming right from the chef’s kitchen.
For me three essential fragments of a pizza are :-
1. A perfect base which in this case was comprising of maida, yeast , sugar/salt.
2. Perfect ingredients such as paneer cubes, mozarella cheese which went really well with the naan base.
3. A nice blend of sauce consisting of obviously a makhani sauce and a tomato puree.
The final result being a golden brown naan pizza with makhani sauce and melting cheese which can make you munch it to glory.
Garlic bread – I must say that this is one of the few places where I could bite into a garlic bread and find chunks of garlic in it. Unlike other places, there was no overpowering smell or taste of garlic and it was just right.
Journey ended on same sweet note as it started for those who have a sweet tooth like me, Sbarro offers delicious New york Cheesecake at a very economical rates.
I spent an hour in the outlet and within that period of 60 mins, I saw it change from deserted to fully occupied which is a good indication of Sbarro regaining its lost ground.
In a nutshell 4.5/5 to Sbarro Overall, I had a fine experience. What I also liked about Sbarro was their live kitchen, we can see our food being cooked in front of them. It will be really interesting to come back to Sbarro sometime soon with my family dinner or a team lunch with my Salt and Sandals team.
This place is a must visit for all fast food lovers like me.
