Cocktails always interest me quite a bit, especially when they are curated in a way that impresses. Lock & Key Bar in Gurgaon recently did a collaboration where they got on Mel Chavez, the assistant bartender at The Tippling Club at Singapore, one of Asia’s most favourite bars to town.

Although India’s cocktail rage has become quite interesting now, but the innovation at The Tippling Club had me literally blown away.

The Tippling Club treats it’s Bar just like the liquid version of Modern Food. There’s a lot of experimentation that starts with Exec Chef and it percolates down the line. Their brand new Sensorium memu is a tribute to different senses while experiencing the cocktails.

With the first one, the sense of smell had been invoked but now it’s the turn of taste. A range of cocktails have been prepared to invoke memories from the childhood. All of these cocktails have then been converted into Gummy Bears that have to be chewed before heading for the cocktail.

Happiness: Tequila, Lemon, Yuzu, Honey

Although there is an eccentric number of cocktails including the totally crazy Super Car which apparently has flavours that give the essence of petrol. The two cocktails that Mel makes us try out is Happiness which is made out of Tequila, Yuzu, Lemon and Honey and is garnished with a rice crispy filled with a tangy sorbet.

Indulgence:Bourbon,strawberry, cordial, cacao nips

Another favourite Indulgence made with Bourbon, Strawberry, Cordial and Cacao Nips. Mel also makes us a Classic Ol’ Fashioned, but uses Canadian Rye whiskey instead of Bourbon.
