Being a Bengali, Crabs are one of my favourites and when Soda Bottle Openerwala turned 5, they launched a Rum and Crab festival that we were definitely going to head to. The festival featured a selecetion of Rum cocktails made specially to order along with a Non-vegetarian Maharashtrian Thaali with which you could pair your own selection of Crab curry: Maharashtrian, Parsi and Matunga.
What all does the Thaali have?
The Thaali features some rustic dishes out from the Western part of India. It contains some Bhaaji Dana, Baingan ka Bharta, Dal Moringa along with two different chutneys and Raagi Rotis along with a plethora of other items.
Let’s get to the Crabs now. There are three different Crabs you can choose from. The Matunga varies on the tangy while the Maharashtrian has some spicy tones along with the creamy texture of the Parsi one.
To finish it all off you must try out the Strawberry and Raspberry mousse or an Anjeer and Apple Kheer along with the plethora of Rum cocktails.
