Le Meridien’s love for coffee is legendary and if you are a coffee enthusiast then you will have read about a plethora of our previous posts on the events they hold. This event furthered our journey into the World of Coffee with Fabrizio Aque, Master Basrista Trainer. The Coffee Bar at Le Meridien Delhi transports you to a different world altogether as you are greeted by the sight and aroma of the wondrous little coffee beans. Not only does Fabrizio shoot us a small class on how to understand and brew coffee, he also gives out a masterclass on Latte Art. Latte Art is an innovative art form that turns brewed coffee into a canvas and results in astounding patterns which can be endless.

Marvelling at the beautiful patterns of latte art, we came across excited guests participating in paper cup drawing and in creating coffee bean art. But no coffee event at Le Meridien can be complete without it’s signature eclairs. The guests were encouraged to make their own version of éclairs by choosing the cream and the toppings. Darjeeling Eclairs had a tea flavor from our very own beautiful state Assam along with jaggery and mouth freshner toppings.

I usually love my coffee strong and black but the Master Barista had some other ideas for me as he brewed up a Espresso shot that had the beautiful flavours of Arabica coffee in all it’s majestic glory. There is a smooth buttery finish to the coffee as I munch down on some of the tit bits on offer, especially the Vegetarian tapas.

World of Coffee was indeed a resplendant evening full of sheer coffee indulgence.
