Zoya with its all day dining impresses a lot. The restaurant has five different seating areas ranging from the luxury tent to the lily pond dining space outside. We have a go at their South East Asian menu first. The Som Tam salad is an explosion of fresh, citrusy flavours on your palate.
There is also a Mojito muddled with some lemongrass to perfectly offset the meal. Next in line are the Thai mains. With a sampling of stir fried vegetables in black bean sauce, fish in lemon coriander sauce and Chicken Ayam curry, they worked as a pretty good accompaniment for the accompanying jasmine rice.
We ended the meal with Pula Mai with sticky rice. A rich, decadent dessert that captures the creaminess of sticky rice with the sprightly, citrusy lemongrass.
The dinner is a traditional Rajasthani affair. starts off with a soup of Papad Mangodi ka shorba. The traditional papad sabzi reformed into a new avatar. The spices leap through the heat of the shorba to create a wonderful interplay of flavours on the palate.
But it’s the massive Rajathani thaali that takes your breath away. The items that impress the most are the Daal Baati Choorma and the The Laal Mass. The Daal Baati Choorma does not drown out the flavour of the pulses with the ghee while the Choorma is available in three different flavours. But it’s the fiery Laal Maas that does tremendous wonders. It sets your palate on fire exactly the way that Rajasthani food should. Its robust, bold and hot, a perfect representation of the people of Rajasthan.
We end our meal with a beautiful creation of Chef Dillu . It’s a crisp Mango Canelloni with Mango shreekhand filled inside. The sweetness of the mango offers a stark revelation to the sour shreekhand filled inside.
The next meal is the huge breakfast spread. The things that really sit out on the menu are the creamy Eggs Benedict, with a muesli that rocks you back with flavour, some fluffy waffles and crispy bacon combinations and some sinful bakery items. There is a multigrain croissant, some flavourful raspberry Danish pastries along with a collection of doughnuts.
The Lunch is another splendid affair. The Beetroot salad hits all the right spots.
The Potato and Pecorino cheese pizza is a rare creation. The strong flavour from the Pecorino cheese combines beautifully with the salty taste of potatoes. The seafood risotto impresses with the perfect chalkiness of the rice and a beautiful taste of sea emanating from the shrimps and scallops.
But the highlight of the meal was again the dessert. This time it was the Five Senses. Chocolate rolled in five different forms, presented to you in one heavenly dish. There’s an outer core of chocolate accompanied by multiple layer of white and dark chocolate inside. A layer of molten chocolate overlies it to complete the masterful creation.
Zoya takes care of all your gastronomical needs under one roof along with some excellent service to boost.
