The Yellow Brick Road at the Taj Ambassador recently completed 20 years of its existence and we headed over to it to experience a menu rejoicing how it has evolved as a favourite of Lutyen’s Delhi.
We started off with a Mulligatawany soup that explodes with the flavour of black pepper right upon the palate. We then move onto the Nicoise Salad made with Eggs, Tomatoes and Olive Oil.
But the dish that attracts me the most is the Railway Cutlets. A gift of the days of the Raj, these cutlets that I loved so much during my train journeys are recreated with so much authenticity that I fall in love with them. Available in both Chicken and Vegetarian versions, they are crispy and full of flavours.
Chef Malik’s YBR Chicken rolls back the years as it presents itself as a whole bunch of flavours while the legendary Bull’s Eye Dessert is something that you mustn’t plan on missing out on.
