Located in the ever busy Vishal enclave, Rajouri Garden in the heart of West Delhi is this 9 month’s old World Cuisine restaurant.
Rajouri Garden as a whole is dominated by lot of Cafes and Restaurants serving North Indian food but here we have a restaurant which is serving “World Cuisine” to its patrons.
I have noticed this trend that whenever one craves for an economical buffet lunch there first choice is Barbecue nation or Pirates of Grill but here we also have Global Food Factory which is churning far better quality of food, with far more variety and at a buffet price which is similar to that of Barbecue nation or Pirates of Grill. The Ala-carte menu is just consisting of two pages yet it is very detailed and they have very carefully picked up dishes from around the globe to please their clientele.
As soon as I entered the place it felt like a breath of fresh air. It was decently crowded and the space was fully utilized and divided well by locating seating arrangements at different level. They even have a wood- fired oven to serve you lip smacking thin crust wood- fired pizzas.
Food Talks
The Menu was very brief of about two pages yet it had a variety of dishes from all around the globe to cater the customers. I had dishes from their Ala-carte menu and their customised menu made to celebarate the recent festival known as “Patiala Italy Hong Kong”.
We started with some of the classic mocktails and cocktails. Ordered a Long Island Ice Tea for myself and an Italian Job for my teetotaller friend. The LIIT was one of the booziest I’ve tried in a long time consisting of less coke and more of alcohol ( Rum, Jin, Vodka, Tequila and Triple sec). Italian job was really refreshing and had a great after taste due to the ginger juice in it .
We were set to enjoy the appetizers and my vegan friend was a happy man as they had a lot of variety for him as well. Paneer Patiala natkhat and Patiala special samosa proved to be a great starter, just ideal for any quick business meeting or a high tea. Less oily and less messy to consume. The fish finger with marinara sauce was golden and cooked through, we dipped the crispy fingers in marinara sauce and munched our way to glory. Main star of the day for me was the mushroom caps friti, Mushroom caps were tossed to perfection and the crispy flavour and the after taste of garlic did the trick for me. Then we tried their two signature wood fired pizzas Veg fiesta and Chicken fiesta. After tasting it I was sure that whenever I am craving for crisp, crackling, deeply charred crust pizzas,I will head to Global food factory.
Now it was the time to try some of dishes from their main course which was a buffet set up and I was surprised when they told me that the starters, main course buffet and desserts cost you only about 575 Rs/- Per person. The buffet was lavish and the hygiene standards were well maintained. They had a wide variety variety of salads from your Indian achari salad to macaroni and ceaser salad. Serving fresh and wide range of soups and starters at such an economical range makes this place ideal spot to satisfy my bulging belly.
Even the main course also consisted of dishes from three nations and menu consisting of 15-20 dishes. They also have a live Pasta counter where you can customize your pasta and gorge yourself on it. A dedicated desserts counter elevating a variety of desserts such as mousse, gateau and their signature Bomb Alaska ensure to satisfy your sweet tooth.
In a nutshell It is a well deserved 4.5/5 to the place keeping note of their food, hygiene standards , ambiance and price range at what they are serving.
