What I wear to my Blogging Events

I’ve been food blogging for quite some time now. As the age of our blog has increased, so have the number of invites for fine dine sit-down meals. As most of the dinners mandate a dress code, there is always a lot of shopping to be done. I hate going out and shopping as blogging already eats into my time remaining in the day after a long day at the hospital. So I prefer doing online shopping for men which allows me all the time in the world while working online. Let me tell you about a few of the looks that you can shop for are sure to make you look dapper too.

With the focus on food in Delhi shifting to quite a desi flavour this season, I have loved attending these events in traditional Indian wear. Being a Bengali, one of our most favoured dressing style is in a Kurta so I also love doing the same. Wearing a Kurta to these events not only sets me apart but allows me to remain true to my roots. But the biggest problem of being a socially active person who has to attend events at least thrice a week, one keeps running out of Kurtas very fast. To continually replenish my wardrobe, I usually turn to the Kurtas for Men section and find them to be helpful.

Half Sleeve

I usually use the half sleeves Kurta as my usual staple as rolling up the sleeves indefinitely causes a lot of damage to the fabric. My favourite ones are the block printed cotton kurtas. Although they aren’t as flashy as North India wants me to be, but my Kolkata roots draw me back. To avoid an antiquated look, try buying the ones which have a slimmer fit and aren’t too short, ending at the waist.

Full Sleeve

For heading to lounges or hospitality and tourism parties, I need to look my glamorous best (that’s stretching the fact quite a bit) and therefore, I prefer the long sleeved silk kurtas. Not only do they give off a shine, but they look pretty perfect for parties. Because silk is breathable, it allows you to remain cool even when things start getting a bit hot.
