March 31st, witnessed a new a history in making, a new young talent got recognized, a new Style Diva got crowned. I was quiet excited for the event- Red Carpet, Bollywood Stars, Fashion Show and a beauty pageant (well frankly which girl wont be excited :p).
We started the night by pre-drinking at the open bar, the beer was sponsored by “Erdinger” and whiskey by “Jim Bean” (I like such sponsors :p). The event (due to some technical reasons) started quiet late from the mentioned time, so pre-drinking went on quiet long. Meanwhile at the Red Carpet stars were getting clicked and interviewed. Sameer Kochhar-was looking dapper in his blue suit, Vijender Singh-cute and charming as always (I got a picture also clicked with him *yay*) but the night was definitely stolen by Huma Qureshi– she really knows how to make those curves work, she looked drop dead gorgeous.

The event was hosted by Sameer Kochhar, he really knows hows to own a space. He just came with his deep husky voice and mesmerized the whole audience with his wit & sense of humor. The esteemed jury panel included names like Bollywood Actress-Huma Qureshi, boxer-Vijender Singh, Ace designer-Gaurav Gupta, GM Westin Sohna Resorts and Spa-Animesh , Femina Editor-Tanya Chaitanya.

The show aimed at unveiling young and aspiring fashionistas and to assist them to take their stylish avatars to the next level. Femina Style Diva was on hunt for a chic, well-dressed woman who knows the difference between being a trendsetter and a trend follower. Super Model Nayanika Chatterjee was the Chief mentor and she groomed the contestants over a span of 5 days and prepared them for the finale.
The finalists walked the ramp with oomph and grace.The jury quizzed the girls and marked them during the three rounds of choreographed catwalks – first round was presented jointly by Kazo and Casio. The girls looked really pretty and cute in Kazo’s summer wear collection. The ethnic wear round was presented by BIBA and evening style round by designer Namrata Joshipura.
After the three rounds and introductions, the judges shortlisted eight contestants, who were then quizzed by each of the five judges on topics that varied from favorite style icon to which actor they would give a style rescue to. Ms. Sana Dua was announced as the winner of the coveted title, a unanimous choice of the judges. Shreya Mahana and Nivedita were the first and second runners-up at the VLCC Femina Style Diva 2016.
