Travel might be a long time passion of ours but learning to travel and pack for it is an ongoing process that we are learning day after day. One of the most essential commodities on not only ours, but everyone else’s is water. As we trek and walk at every new destination we head to, we tend to drink gallons and gallons of water. One of the easiest ways to buy water all over the world is to buy bottled water and that used to be our go-to. Even when on our trip to Seychelles on our honeymoon, we consumed lots of water from 5 litre jugs of bottled water from the supermarket.
But one incident changed it all. Scrolling through my Facebook, I saw a tortoise chewing on a half-eaten plastic bottle and this put me to think, to change my own policies to being a responsible traveller and reducing the amount of plastic I consume. So recently, at an event by Tupperware, I found a really beautiful collection of multi-use plastic bottles that come in all shapes and sizes.
Since then, we have had three trips since then, to Turkey, Maldives and Malaysia. We have carried our Tupperware bottles everywhere and it has always served us well. Not only does it plan to last another few set of years, it also keeps our Beverage or water cold throughout the journey. So, next time you’re planning to travel, take along one of the sturdy bottles from Tupperware and do your bit for the nature.
