Know thy Chandon
Following the steps of the founders and continuing the search for new wine-making territories, Moët Hennessy is determined that the Nashik region has a potential to produce world-class, premium quality sparkling wine. Chandon is the first offering from Moët Hennessy which is being made in India. It is now available across 22 cities in India. Combining the centuries-old sparkling wine-making practice of “méthode traditionnelle” with the finest local grapes. Chandon is available in two variants: Brut and Rosé.
Chandon Brut tastes like a bright, fresh fruit bouquet of citrus blossom with green apple and hints of tropical fruits and vanilla. It is made with Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Chandon Rose smells like ripe cherries with mouth-filling flavors of red fruits and soft grapefruit undertones. It is made with Shiraz and Pinot Noir.
What is a Spritzer?
The wine spritzer has been around for centuries, and it’s not just a beverage for soccer moms and crazy great-aunts anymore. Recipes abound, featuring trendy ingredients like Elderflower or passion fruit, is a great way to add bubbles to your wine with just the simple addition of club soda. With Chandon mix of ice cold wine and bubbles, spritzers are refreshing in every sense of the word, and the ideal beverage for sultry days and occasions where drinking is frowned upon, like baby showers and family luncheons. Plus, you can day drink for 12 hours, and still tackle a 4-floor walk-up with ease.

About the evening
We were invited at Perch, Vasant Vihar by team Chandon for an evening of Spritzers. Our dress code for the day was Colors of Chandon i.e. rose, peach, green etc (I personally love dress codes, so I was looking forward to the evening). Our host of the evening was Rohan Jelkie who is even Brand ambassador, Moet Hennessy India, he spirited up our knowledge of wines and how they must be consumed over a period of time. To make a perfect spritzer, you need to store and serve it in a particular, in his words “After all what’s worse than no sparkling wine- a sparkling wine which is not chilled right!”  You could know more about how to chill and serve the wine here or see the man himself in action here.

 We were served a lot of Spritzer recipes throughout the evening (yes it was quiet a boozy evening :p) and we were even encouraged to make the recipes ourselves. My favorite of the day was Elderberry with Chandon. I personally don’t like sweet cocktails and when I tasted elderberry syrup, it was really sweet but somehow the bubbly Chandon Brut and Elderberry was a match made in the heaven. This is one recipe that you should must try. Be it a soirée, the dance floor or a Sunday brunch, if you have this drink in hand, then you will have-one helluva party. The other one which I quiet enjoyed was Chandon Rose with sliced strawberries- really refreshing and I absolutely loved the mix of fruity flavors. Sitting by the rooftop overlooking the waterfront, @oliveandseaftl is the perfect embodiment of Mediterranean food for our trip to Fort Lauderdale.  We started off with the Mezze platter which features not only the regulars including hummus, labneh, tzatziki, baba ganoush, there is also some bulgur tabbouleh and red pepper walnut relish served with some house bread, pita and lavaash.  Although there are quite a few fresh salads packed with Mediterranean flavours including one with mixed greens, goat cheese, honey roasted Squash, walnuts, apples and literally topped off with Pomegranate molasses, we tried out the Charred Crispy Octopus served with a Garlic labneh, Green Olive Tapenade and Crispy Potatoes.  For the mains, we also got ourselves some skewers cooked perfectly and served with some Tahini and a Coriander Chili relish.

We headed over to @evenkeelasolas in Fort Lauderdale to try out some fresh seafood, offering a modern take on Floridian Coastal cuisine. The restaurant has a casual yet trendy ambiance, with both indoor and outdoor seating. It's located on one of the numerous piers dotting Fort Lauderdale's waterways  We tried out the Oysters served with hot sauce, tarragon and lime along with a smoked fish dip and a shrimp ceviche. We followed it up with Himachi Poke Gyoza Tacos, grilled Octopus and a hot Lobster Roll. Often listed amongst the best beaches in the world, Anse Lazio in Praslin, Seychelles truly open gates to altogether new world. And let me tell you, reaching here was quite a journey. One has to reach the bottom of the hill to Zimbabwe either by car or bus, then one has to trek over a large forested jungle clad hill and along some way before you reach the beach. But the journey is well worth the effort with views that take your breath away perfect with fine white sands and gorgeous turquoise waters that are so clear you can watch the fish swim around you, it's no surprise Anse Lazio is frequently called 'the best beach in the world'.

We headed to the @Takamaka Rum Seychelles distillery with @Creole Travel Services where we fell in love with the slow pace, exquisite beach and two barrel aged rums. The Extra Dark is aged twice, first in French Oak and then in reused Bourbon casks for three years and the St. Andre which has been aged for eight years in American Bourbon casks. Which one should we get back for tasting?
