Overlooking the Aurobindo marg in Green Park, The Backyard Café has one of the most beautiful terrace settings of the city and hosts some of the best parties with an electrifying atmosphere. It’s one of the places which can make you instantly fall in love with as far as ambiance is concerned.
We were recently invited to The Backyard to try the newly introduced Cocktails and food menu and we were surprised to see the place totally packed even on a lame Tuesday evening, such a crowd puller this place is. We were greeted well by the staff and made ourselves comfortable and then were served the first cocktail called THE MONKEY BUSINESS, a vodka based drink which indeed is a great refresher with a green apple flavor. The next one up was THE KIWI CUCU, with a dominant cucumber flavor infused with vodka beautifully presented in an inverted bulb. THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA was certainly the best drink of the evening, not only looked great in the backdrop of candle lights on the table but had a great subtle taste.
For the vegetarians, the Crispy GOAT CHEESE PIZZA WITH BALSAMIC vinegar comes highly recommended and also THE ROOT VEGETABLE SLIDERS. The non vegetarians would like THE CHICKEN QUESSADILLAS and PULLED PORK SLIDERS.
The service staff found it a bit tough to handle the crowd as it was jam packed but overall a pleasant evening spent with some good cocktails and delicious food.
