Rajouri Garden in West Delhi, is turning out to be the new buzzpot for food lovers across the city. The newest kid on the block is The Sky Bar, a three-storey building with a banquet, a fine-dining restaurant and a lounge bar called Silk Route. Brainchild of Mr. Monu Talwar ,the restaurant offers an array of cuisines to suit the taste buds of all. The fine dine restaurant offers a wide variety of cuisines from Italian to Chinese, covering Indian and Thai in between. The interiors are smartly and elegantly designed. They offer a vibrant rooftop, done well with shades of white and turquoise. The restaurant /lounge are equally well done to cater sophisticated parties.
Food Talks
We started with Mutton Seekh Kebab which is mince baby lamb with chillies, coriander, ginger and cooked in the tandoor. They were soft and flavourful. Following it was the Flavourful fish tikka. The basa was marinated in spices to perfection and had a smokey aftertaste. Following it was the classic Lebanese delight Hummus with pita bread and chicken skewers.
Heading on the mains we tried the Dal Makhani. I personally believe that for a restaurant to operate in West Delhi. It is indeed necessary for the place to serve lip smacking Dal Makhani and Butter Chicken and here the chef did justice with both the above mentioned dishes. The main highlight of the meal is undoubtedly their desserts which consists of humble gulkhand ki kheer which is meant for people with sweet tooth and hot and delightful gulab jamun which is a perfect end to an Indian meal.
In a nutshell, the place proves to be a winner. With variety of dishes and different sitting arrangements to cater groups. It has a great food, luxurious decor and attentive service with reasonable prices.
