Ottimo at West View, ITC Maurya has slowly become one of the iconic restaurants of the city. An Italian extravaganza that overlooks Lutyen’s Delhi provides for one
The menu starts off with a choice of soup before heading to a plethora of antipasti that you can try out. With unlimited repeats available, this lunch menu makes for some scrumptious eating. After a choice of Pasta and Mains, you again head to the unlimited board, this time for desserts 😉
In the Pasta section, we recommend the Stuffed Tortellini with Asparagus and Mascarpone which literally melts on the palate and exposes the subtle flavours of the asparagus with the creamy cheese while the Tagliatelle with Lamb Ragout offers a perfect umami, dense flavour that I truly enjoyed.
The mains on the other hand are another story altogether. The slow cooked Lamb shank with a mushroom sauce ranks pretty much up there with the best non vegetarian dishes we have had. It’s soft, it’s succulent and the mushrooms just keeping on adding to the earthy flavours. There’s also a Fish which is well completed with the tang of Mediterranean flavours.
Available for INR 1850++, this Lunch menu is one of the quick serve ones while allowing for some unlimited cold cuts and Italian desserts. This is one menu that you should really be drooling for.
