PizzaExpress, the world renowned casual dining restaurant chain has launched a new, refreshing menu to celebrate it’s 50 years journey. Established in 1965 in London, the iconic brand has introduced exotic Italian recipes exclusively prepared by its Pizzaiolos to mark its global celebrations.
Salt and Sandals tries out the new menu at their second outlet in Delhi NCR at Ambience Mall, Gurgaon and also tries it’s hand at dough tossing, flaring and pizza making.
The new menu will introduce Gurgaon foodies to their signature Romana base. To create this exceptionally thin and crispy base, the dough is stretched to perfection allowing the flavors of all ingredients to stand out. PizzaExpress prides itself in serving each pizza to order, thereby creating fresh and delicious food. All ingredients are locally procured and diced daily to ensure the best quality.

Their signature tomato passata is, till date, imported from Italy and is made by the Greci family of Italy since 1965.
The interiors are rather unique. Each restaurant is designed keeping in mind the city’s cultural heritage and history which they are in. The open kitchen allows the guests to see in action the Pizzaiolos, tossing fresh dough. The Gurgaon design scheme revolves around the industrial revolution that transformed the village into the city that it is. The open ceiling, the raised floor are all epitomes of it. The restaurant has been cracked up and envisaged to be elegant and rugged with the fusion of smashed brick with polished engineered timber and multi mirrored screens. The pizza chain has introduced new starters that include the Antipasto Verde, assorted vegetarian platter and the Antipasto Pollo e Gambero, assorted non vegetarian platter. Pizza lovers will be thrilled to experience new recipes, which are Italian but developed by an Indian pizzaiolo. The Amore Nascosto which literally translates to ‘hidden love’ comes topped with speck ham, spicy N’duja sausage, harissa marinated tomatoes, seasoned mozzarella and creamy ricotta while the Il Padrino 65 comes topped with grilled chicken, char grilled vegetables and fresh mozzarella. Other new introductions include Penne Con Peppadew. the Pollo Pesto Baked, the Linguine Al Gambero a Pesto Rosso and the Pollo Arrabiata.

The new mocktails, Zenzero Fresca, Ginger Fresca and Tropical pack a solid punch while delivering satisfaction and quenching your thirst.
The event at Ambience Mall also saw a live demonstration of pizza making by the head chefs and a competition to round it off. The expert Pizzaiolo also flared dough to popular Hindi songs.

Often listed amongst the best beaches in the world, Anse Lazio in Praslin, Seychelles truly open gates to altogether new world. And let me tell you, reaching here was quite a journey. One has to reach the bottom of the hill to Zimbabwe either by car or bus, then one has to trek over a large forested jungle clad hill and along some way before you reach the beach. But the journey is well worth the effort with views that take your breath away perfect with fine white sands and gorgeous turquoise waters that are so clear you can watch the fish swim around you, it's no surprise Anse Lazio is frequently called 'the best beach in the world'.

For Starters: The very famous Johnny hot dog( Anda bun), Poha, kachori, Jalebi, bhute ki khees, Indori style Dal Bati churma , Neemach Street tawa which has Kidney, Liver and Goat brain ( bheja fry) marinated and cooked on the Tawa, along with vegetarian option like stuffed capsicum, green chilli and potatoes. A range of  Pakoras featuring Dal Pakora, samosa which taste amazing with the Garlic Tomato chutney. Savour the golgappas with a wide range of flavoured water including hing, lehsun, pudina and mitha pani.
