Recently there have been many new outlets which have come up with Live- Grill concept, like Barbeque Nation, but this place is way above others. With so many live counters you just don’t go for normal grill being served at your table on barbeque but you get so much on live counters, from Mongolian to live Pizza and Pasta.
Yes, we are talking about is Vapour Grill which is a new addition to the vapour family. Located at 1st floor just below the famous Vapour Stock Exchange in Sector 29 market, This place has quite a big area with a nice seating arrangement. Ambience is very attractive with some amazingly done interiors. It has a huge seating area with a variety of options to cater small as well as larger groups. With the grill in the middle of table and the different color pattern for veg and non-veg cutlery, the owner of this place has tried to give a different look and feel.
We started off with the Mongolian grill counter which offers an array of dishes. Prawns, Fish, Calamari and even Octopus, you name it and they serve it to you. Next, we headed up to the live pizza and the pasta counter which is the home to a lip smacking thin crust pizza and a decent white sauce arabiatta pasta. From the live grill, Salty corn, sabudana tikki, grilled mushrooms and paneer tikka proved to be an ideal appetiser. On other hand, Chicken tangdi, grilled prawns proved to an ideal non vegetarian starters.
For the mains we opted for the chicken chettinad curry. It had an authentic South Indian touch, though I was disappointed as there was no flaky appam or thick malabar parantha to accompany it.
The Rajma masala satisfied our tastebuds. The veg biryani was appreciated by the vegetarians .The oriental section, which I thought is worthy enough to give a try as it is not the forte of the restaurant, surprised me a lot and I highly recommend their stir fry vegetables and chicken manchurian if someone is opting for oriental cuisine in this restaurant.
We ended our meal with their stone ice cream. They crush ice cream properly and mix distinct flavours along with a generous quantity of dry fruits making it an ideal dessert.
In a nutshell, If you still wonder that why would you go to The Vapour Grill instead of Pirates of the Grill or Barbeque Nation?
Then here is your answer :
1. Freshly brewed beer
2. A great chat counter
3. A one-of-a-kind Mongolian food live kitchen (actually the only one in NCR)
4. Cold-stone ice cream
5. Only brill and barbecue restaurant to have a live pizza/ pasta counter
These things really stand out and make it different from the other restaurants with a similar concept. And if that isn’t enough – the speedy service with great devotion to keep the grill loaded and feed guests is there for you.
