Located in the posh central market in the heart of Punjabi bagh, United westends is a 15 year old eatery serving its patrons a range of delicacies from varied cuisines. The restaurant is a sibling of the famous United coffee house of Connaught place and due to its location in a commercial block; the lunch time too sees a packed place. The interiors of the two floored restaurant are classy. While you may find the ground floor a little cramped up with a lively bar, the upper floor is beautifully designed and nicely divided in private sections.
One might easily get confused what to order as the menu is huge and has a good variety of North Indian, Asian, Continental and Mediterranean food. The place also offers a decent fare of street food and snacks for tea time. The bar churns out some fascinating signature cocktails such as The East India Company which is a blend of whiskey, vodka, green tea, lime juice and mint. It’s beautifully presented in a wooden cask. For the starters it’s recommended you try The South hall Fish fingers and the Non veg kebab platters. In the mains you must try their unique Martbaan Ghosht, Butter chicken and Dal makhani with crispy hot Garlic naans. From the dessert section, enjoy the best of Indian desserts by ordering a Mithai sampler which serves, Gulab jamun, Moongh ka halwa and Chikki kulfi served in a platter.
