The Radisson Blu Hotel Paschim Vihar has started a culinary journey to the hinterlands of Punjab. With food that has a typically robust flavour, Punjabi food has been thoroughly misinterpreted in Delhi. This is where the eccentric genius of Executive Chef Vikas Pant comes in. The Punjabi food festival is being hosted at their effervescent Indian restaurant, Indyaki with an ambience that takes you back to the pinds of Punjab. Replete with a desi dress for the waiters and Punjabi music, the experience is your trip through the lush green Punjab. The menu is large and has some really interesting twists.
We bring you the 5 dishes that you must try out at this Punjabi Food festival.
1. Amritsari Macchi
One of Amritsar’s most famous dishes, this fish tikka with flavours of Ajwain is a must for an authentic Amritsari experience. It is best paired with their signature mocktail “Indyaki Punch”.
2. Dhabe ki Dal
You have had dal and then you will have this Dal. Perfectly flavoured with robust spices, a mixture of 3 daals gives it a taste that will resonate on your palate.
3. Methi Murg
Another treat to the taste buds is the Murgh Methi Malai. It is a combination of fresh fenugreek and chicken. The fenugreek doesn’t overpower the chicken but rifles every one of our taste buds on the way down your gullet.
4. Lehsooni Jheenga
Another lip smacking starter. Tiger prawns marinated in exotic Indian spices and cooked in a clay oven, enhancing the flavour of garlic with every bite, served along with raw mango chutney.
5. Badam Ka Halwa
End you meal on a sweet note with their signature Badam halwa- heavily garnished with dry fruits and too tempting.
