Hello! Hello! Hello Gurugram, are you ready to eat, laugh and drink under one roof?! Friday-the 17th June saw a launch of a new type of club in CyberHub– People & Co., Delhi’s own (much needed) Stand Up comedy club.
People & Co. is located near Smash in CyberHub, as I waited in line for my entry to the club, I could hear the live music blaring from the club. I am a big “live music” person and I was getting more & more excited to enter this place. As soon as I entered the bar, I could see people headbanging, laughing and dancing. The music volume was perfect- it was good enough to dance yet not loud enough to create “conversation-hassle”.
The club design is quiet rustic and gives a feel of “underground-secret club” that you generally see in movies. The walls are splashed with fun photography & sayings. Absolutely loved the quirky interiors with the fun play of crockery, books, saplings, saying etc. Their signage’s were so cute, the washroom sign said- “Let it out!” (:p).

After ordering our drinks, me and my friend entered the area called “Canvas”. It was an auditorium style design with a spotlight on the stage. Now People & Co. is established by the curators of the first ever Comedy Club in India (i.e. The Same Canvas Laugh Club in Mumbai), so my expectations was quiet high for the night and I was so happy that I was not disappointed.
The night began with an opening act by Kunal Kamra followed by award-winning Vasu Primlani. There were many acts and I thoroughly enjoyed all of them. The whole evening was an epic laugh riot, I had tears in my eyes I was laughing so hard, I almost fell twice off the bench. I recommend this place to everyone who are looking for something different from the regular clubs or just want to laugh with friends while they drink. This place is an apt place for first dates, where you are trying to “break the ice”. I think laughs, good music and drinks would certainly do the magic.
