On Monday, 20th March 2017 Nubia, an exciting and innovative global mobile device brand, officially launched its Z11 MINI S premium photography mobile phone in India in an exclusive partnership with Amazon. Designed to keep up with the pace of the today’s smart-phone user, the mighty Z11 MINI S comes with a powerful processor and battery. The Z11 Mini S combines elegant design with a vibrant full HD display and a high quality DSLR level camera system. Team Salt and Sandals was lucky to get hands on the phone before the official launch. I have been playing with this device for past 6 days and I am impressed with this phone that combines the features of Android with the easy interface and the bonus of a fabulous camera.
Battery and Other features in Nubia Z11 mini S
A sub-brand of ZTE – like what Honor is to Huawei – the company has been slowly expanding its portfolio of products in India.
Nubia’s latest entry is the Z11 mini S, which was announced in China back in October. Launching in India exclusively with Amazon.
Nubia Z11 Mini S is backed by a non-removable 3000mAh battery. It comes with support for company’s NeoPower energy saving algorithm. The fingerprint sensor comes with support for unlocking, screenshot and pictures. Nubia Z11 Mini S is weighs 158 grams and is 7.6 mm thin. It is available in Khaki Grey and Moon Gold colour variants. It supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac wireless networks, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and GLONASS. Sensors on the device include Electronic compass, G-sensor, Light sensor, Gyro-sensor and Proximity sensor.
Pricing, Camera and main highlights
At Rs 16,999 it is really impressive what ZTE has pulled off here. There’s no plastic used anywhere in the construction, just metal and glass. The back is rounded and bulges towards the centre, a surface that appears to been flattened. But even with flattened back, the phone keeps spinning around when placed on a table and will wobble a bit every time you tap on the display. There’s a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS LCD display on the front, along with the usual array of sensors and a 13MP front camera that sits to the left of the receiver. Inside, you get a tried and tested Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset clocked at 2.0GHz with an Adreno 506 GPU. The chipset is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 256GB using the second SIM slot.On the back, the primary camera features of a 23MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and an LED flash, which is the second highlight of this smartphone.
The Z11 Mini S follows in the footsteps of the flagship Z11 and can be seen as a more affordable — but by no means inferior — version of Nubia’s top-tier phone. The phone will most notably compete with the Moto G5 Plus which is based on the same processor and has some pretty neat camera credentials.
The nubia Z11 miniS will be available in India priced at Rs. 16,999/- exclusively on Amazon.in starting from March 21 2017
