I have been a forever lover of the Chinese food at Shang Palace in Shangri-La’ Eros Hotel New Delhi. One of the prime reasons for this is the presence of three distinct cuisines of Canton, Sichuan and Yunan here. It gives me a wonderful new perspective to enjoying the varied flavours that China has to offer. Let me tell you about our favourites from the three different parts of China that you must try out at Shang Palace.

Chef Ye Haiju is a Dim Sum master who cooks up some delectable Dim Sums including the Water Chestnut and Mushroom Dumpling, Barbecue Iberico Pork Bun and a lovely Steamed Chicken Wonton with a Sichuan Chili Oil.

Peking Duck has been one of my all time favourite dishes but when it gets served along with a bit of Beluga Caviar on the side, it’s quite even more wonderful. Chef Kong Fanyi is a barbeque specialist and he cooks up some lovely Peking Duck along with Honey Glazed Pork that definitely needs to be tried out.

The staple of the Chinese cuisine has been the wok dishes. Chef Fulei cooks up some delectable dishes from the wok. Think Tenderloin with Ceps Mushrooms and Lamb in a spicy Sichuan Chili Broth.
