Two cuisines that have always captured the imagination of Indians are Italian and Chinese. Although there are a plethora of speciality restaurants in a lot of hotels around India, Intercontinental Hotels Group has a gem which covers both these cuisines while keeping the authenticity intact. Chao Bella is a dual cuisine restaurant which started its journey from the Crowne Plaza Okhla but has now spread its wings all across Delhi NCR. After almost eight successful years they have recently relaunched their menu with exciting new flavours and innovative pairings.

Although we have visited Chao Bella quite a few number of times now, few of the dishes really stood out for us. From the Italian side of things, the Gnocchi di Pomodoro al Forno pasta gave us a view into simple yet rustic Italian flavours that this kitchen can muster up. Potato and parmesan dumplings in pesto was an soul-satisfying affair. The Gnocchi has that lovely texture while the Pomodoro sauce is delectably flavoured with traditional Italian herbs. When talking about classic Italian fare one certainly cannot miss mentioning the classic Italian Tiramisu. This aromatic coffee dusted dessert with extremely creamy yet so light on the bite Tiramisu is a must try at Chao Bella.

From the Chinese side of things, the menu is a rendition of the age old wisdom with flavours ranging from Cantonese food to saucy and spicy Sichuan cuisine to Hunan cuisine.

The Dim Sum is something that has always made their case known found in different flavours that impress us quite a bit. To choose right from traditional Chinese roasted Garlic dumplings to spicy prawn and sweet pork dumplings. There is also a trio of sauces that accompany us on the Dim Sum journey.

Chao Bella

Chao Bella may be a dual cuisine restaurant but there is no mix and match of flavours that you might think of. It’s just good old clean cut Italian and Chinese flavours that you’ll fall in love with. The New Menu at Chao Bella bestows latest trends of cooking keeping authentic flavours intact.
