What I loved?!!
I am a big fan of trying new cuisines but whenever I go to regional food restaurants, I am handed such a long menu that I really don’t know what to order and what not to.
Melting Pot tiffins has very cleverly curated a tiffin system where they are making you try everything from that cuisine- the salad, the chutney, the bread, the curry, the dry veggie etc. This gives you an opportunity to try the whole cuisine without racking your brain.
What I tried?
I tried their Kashmiri Veg Tiffin. I personally hate eating heavy meals during the day. On as insistence by a colleague, I decided to try their Kashmiri Veg Tiffin. I can honestly say- One of the best decisions made by me in my entire life (yes it was that good :p).
The rice was not the regular rice and were locally sourced Kashmiri Rice. The peeli Chaman was a Cottage cheese curry with a very light yellow based gravy. It tasted almost like a “dal”. The tangy “Baingan” were absolutely delightful, though a little oily but it balanced the whole meal completely. The lotus stems chips added the much necessary crisp to the entire the meal. My favorite part was the “Mooli Chutney”. It is so good that I actually dreamt about it (yes I often dream about food :p)
In dessert, I tried their Salted Caramel Kheer. OH MY!MY! Its one of the best Kheer I have tried in my entire life. Please do yourself a favor and order it today!
The drawback
They are a delivery service and are currently delivering only in some parts of Delhi i.e Vasant Kunj, Vasant Vihar, Saket and Chattarpur. Though they do deliver at an extra delivery cost but they don’t take guarantee of food being hot if its not in their delivering area.
