Sbarro, the leading International chain of pizza restaurants that specializes in Authentic New York style pizzas recently organized the Man vs Pizza contest at its outlet in Connaught Place on 14th May, 2015. Held by pairing techies and pizza-lovers in teams, the fierce battle saw 8 teams of bloggers match wits and eating skills to consume maximum amount of pizza.

There were 2 members in each team from which one played the foodie and the other was the techie. The competition was pretty simple with the foodie having to wolf down the maximum slices of pizza in the first 10 minutes while the techie tweeted. In the next phase, the number of tweets the techie logged in gave the team more time to consume pizza.

Mr. Akhil Puri, CEO, JIFPL said, “The Man vs Pizza contest was a tremendous success as it gave participants the chance to gorge on their favorite pizzas in the race of winning the competition. Similar events are mostly done internationally by gourmet chains, but it was the first time a contest of this sort was organized by a QSR chain in the country. This one-of-its-kind event brought together bloggers and influencers and took them into a gastronomical adventure entailing sumptuous New York style pizzas. The contest helped us in creating brand awareness through the social media platform.”
