Everytime Mr Priyank Sukhija launches his new restaurant, expectations go beyond surreal. The newly introduced member of the Lazeez Affaire family is “Lord Of The Drinks”. This fancy bar and restaurant is said to occupy a space of 18000 sq feet and even boasts of a microbrewery. Team Salt and Sandals visited Lord of the Drinks to check whether this one lives upto the credos of Priyank’s establishments.FB_IMG_1442324882710FB_IMG_1442324872004

The interior is done with wood, stone and metal and the place is so enormous that someone can easily get lost in the restaurant during the first visit. The decor and ambiance is an ideal worship shot for any fantasy geek with elements like armours, humanoids and spears profoundly used.

Food Talks :
The menu is very elaborative, the only problem being that it is not so descriptive in nature. They have carefully designed the menu to cater the both classes and the masses.C360_2015-09-09-14-50-30-381

Mushroom bruschetta loaded with mushrooms, cheese and truffle oil bursts on your palate. Assorted non vegetarian platter consisted of seekh kebab, chicken tikka and murg malai tikka is a perfect accompaniment to innovative and classic cocktails prepared by their mixologist. Shish Taouk served along with tzatziki exudes subtle flavours. Chef  recommends us the Vada Pav but it misses out on the flavours of shenga.C360_2015-09-09-15-08-42-116

AfterC360_2015-09-09-14-59-47-802 enjoying the appetizers now it was time to gorge on the mains. Paneer Lababdar and Dal Makhani were set ideally to satisfy the tastebuds of  Dilliwalas. Paneer Lababdar had a great creamy texture and the Dal Makhani was thankfully having flavours and was not just overloaded with layers of cream and butter. Thai Prawn curry with rice stood out for me as the main highlight for the evening. It had a blasting touch of coconut milk and basil and a soft, heavenly aftertaste of aromatic herbs and spices on the palate.C360_2015-09-09-14-59-38-963
