The new seasonal menu of Lodi-The Garden Restaurant is here and it is something you should be salivating about. Located in the picturesque Lodi Gardens, this garden restaurant is one of the most romantic places to be in Delhi. Sitting amongst the greenery, with fresh produce right from their gardens, Lodi has always impressed food lovers.
Start off with a couple of toddies to beat the chill. This warm mixture of rum, spices and other flavourings infuse right down to your bones while leaving a delectable taste on your palate. The combination of cinnamon and expresso are in stark contrast to one another and act as perfect for those who love the opposite spectrum of the taste profile.
The appetisers include Chicken skewers marinated in orange and ginger and finished off with some cilantro. The perfectly cooked chicken with the rich warm taste of the ginger that cuts across the acidity of the oranges. The tuna salad is refreshing as it springs forth fresh flavours from the olives, tomatoes and potatoes along with the heavily drizzled leaves. We pair these up with a Ginger and Wildflower Honey Martini and a Rosemary Martini.
The mains include a baked Norwegian Salmon with Zuchhini along with a black rice risotto. The Salmon is perfectly cooked with a crisp skin and a beautiful acidic sauce to complement it. The black rice risotto has a delicate creaminess to it with a perfect chalky texture to offset it with. We paired these with a Masala Mary and a Green Heart, a powerful concoction of vodka and Absinth.
We finished off again with a Banoffee and Almond Cake with toffee sauce and Fig Ice cream. The beautiful fresh flavours in the new menu of Lodi is definitely something to look forward to.
