Keventers, the brand with a legacy of over a century, is back!
Keventers is the first Indian milkshake brand. Set up in India in the 1920s by Edward Keventers, Keventers dairy project was acquired by Ram Krishna Dalmia in the 1940s. By 1960s, Keventers became synonymous with dairy products in Delhi. As Chanakyapuri, the area where the factory was located, became a diplomatic area, Keventers had to shut down its factory.
The brand has now been revived by two young entrepreneurs Aman Arora and Agastya Mihir Dalmia, along with partner Sohrab Sitaram, who have bridged the gap between classic and contemporary. Keventers is now serving their old classics as well as new innovative flavors in shakes. Along with that, they also have some really unique and interesting Gelato flavors.
Keventers outlet is open at Select Citywalk, Saket, and three more outlets are coming soon, the next one being at DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj. The location and the products are perfect for a quick stop while shopping or to quench thirst and to cool down on hot summer days.
The quality and the freshness of the product speaks for itself. As with chocolate, which can be of many different types like white, dark, hazelnut, milk, etc., and people tend to have their favourites; the new flavors of Keventers milkshake are pretty interesting and you may not like all but there is definitely a flavour that you would love. Here are some of our favourites:
Think of thick, creamy, slightly salty, lingering sweet, and buttery taste of peanut butter. Add some chocolate to that, enough to make you drool, yet letting the taste of peanut butter come through. Now, imagine this in a chilled milkshake. Choco Peanut Butter shake takes you to an altogether different world!
Strawberry Fields shake is one for the strawberry fans, but it is quite different from the classic Strawberry shake. Strawberry Fields has the freshness of mint along with strawberry. The flavour of mint is very subtle, and does not overpower the strawberry at all.
Mint Oreo Crumble shake is essentially a minty shake with oreo crumble. If you are a mint fan and if you love After 8 chocolate, you will really like this shake too, otherwise maybe not so much.
Chocolate Hazelnut shake is one for chocolate lovers. The shake is thick. It’s rich and it’s indulgent. The lovely flavour of hazelnut always works so well with chocolate and this shake is no exception.
The shakes are quite thick and filling. The classic shakes: butterscotch, vanilla, strawberry, and kesar pista are served in glass bottles and taste delicious.
Dilli Jamun ice-cream, which is soft serve Gelato that tastes like Gulab Jamun, is yummy. It is moderately sweet and has tiny gulab jamun bits in it.
Keventers, the original milkshake brand, is back for it’s second inning. They have taken the best of both the classic and the contemporary worlds.
