Middle Eastern food seems to be the newest rage in town. Following on the footsteps of Chinese and Italian, Middle Eastern food is now earning quite a following in Delhi NCR. With a flavour profile much akin to the Indian palate, the cuisine has been accepted pretty well with the new adventurous crowd of the capital. But as has been the case of the cuisines earlier, Middle Eastern food has also gotten typecast. The majority of restaurants have been serving Lebanese food without any adequate representation to the other countries of the Middle East. So as to dispel this notion, the Embassy of the Republic of Jordan along with SOTC and Air Arabia are organising a month long food festival at Zerzura, Qutub Hotel from 3rd June to 2nd July during the holy month of Ramzan.
The lavish menu includes a number of Jordanian delicacies such as lamb Mansaf, chicken Shawarmas, Jordanian Lamb Tagine with pine nuts, and summer vegetable tagine among others. These were complemented by appetizers such as Hummus with Olive Oil and Tzatziki, Baba Ganoush served with Pita, Lavash and Araies Lahma, the special Bedouin Pizza. The festival also features the beauty of Jordan in all it’s glory captured through lenses. The deep valleys of Petra, the stunning night sky along with the picturesque Qasr Amra will make you fall in love with Jordan.
But that’s not where the excitement stops. Air Arabia is offering air tickets to Jordan for a Lucky winner every week and every bill that you generate at Zerzura will entail you to a 10% discount on SOTC holidays. Summers in Delhi could not have been better.
